Open AI’s ChatGPT is currently down, according to reports from users. Many who tried to use the popular AI chatbot on Tuesday, 10th June, 2025, got the error message “Hmm…something seems to have gone wrong.” So, if you’re wondering, does ChatGPT have an issue today? The answer is yes. It’s not your network, and it’s not just you.
ChatGPT’s issues seem to have started around 2:50 am on Tuesday, June 10. By around 9:00 AM, thousands of users had reported issues on DownDetector. It’s not only the ChatGPT website that’s been affected. The Android/IOS app and Windows/Mac app are all currently down. However, some users report that they can use ChatGPT just fine.
Any response from OpenAI? Yes. Open AI’s status page confirms they are experiencing issues affecting ChatGPT and other owned platforms. In one of their status updates, they explained that these issues are related to elevated error rates and latency.
There’s hope, though, and you may want to hold on to it: Open AI says they have identified the root cause of the issue and are working on sorting things out. They said this around 9:07 AM. Should it take this long? Can we expect ChatGPT to be up and running anytime soon? Time will tell.
