The transfer window drama is far from over for Newcastle striker Alexander Isak. Just last week, we reported news of Liverpool approaching Newcastle to discuss a potential transfer for the Swedish striker, adding that there has been no official bid. We have some more gist for you on the Isak to Liverpool update.

Isak’s agent, Gonzalo Gaitan, says the player is currently considering all options and may be close to finalizing the next step. The “all options” may well include Liverpool, Saudi Arabia, or staying at Newcastle. According to Liverpool manager, the Reds are willing to negotiate around £120 million for Isak, a record-breaking transfer price.
However, Newcastle has firmly refused even to show interest in selling Isak. Therefore, Liverpool moved on to target Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike. Ekitike is willing to move to Premier League, and he prefers to go to Liverpool. So, this deal has a higher chance of success.
Already, Liverpool and Eintracht Frankfurt have agreed on a fixed fee of £69 million, but they are still working out the bonuses. The 23-year-old player has a nice game record, scoring 22 goals in 48 games across all competitions last season and helping Frankfurt qualify for the Champions League.
Saudi Arabia is another option that has shown interest in Isak. Nothing is clear yet in this zone, though, except Gaitan telling a Saudi newspaper they are considering and analyzing all options. How is Newcastle taking all the speculation surrounding Isak’s transfer? Well, manager Eddie Howe mentioned that he had left the striker out of the Celtic game because of all the rumors surrounding his transfer.
What’s next for Alexander Isak remains to be seen. But trust us to keep you updated!
